Enhancing Port Operations with CaDi Systems

Project Background

JVPS faced significant operational challenges due to its reliance on paper-based systems and lack of an established operating system. The processes suffered from limited connectivity, which led to delayed communication and posed security risks, particularly in the slow capture of container movement data from port operators to carriers. Manual double-handling of documents further reduced operational efficiency, while the absence of live insights hindered port performance tracking and decision-making.

Project goals

To address these inefficiencies, the project focused on:

  1. Digitising all cargo movement processes with real-time data entry.

  2. Enabling direct data integration with clients' Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to provide instant updates.

  3. Achieving real-time visibility into port operations.

  4. Strengthening overall security in operations.

  5. Have a system with an easy-to-use user interface coupled with offline functionality to drive successful work force adoption.

How we helped their team

Step 1

We gathered requirements and highlighted key pain points that CaDi systems could address and streamline.

Step 2

We established an implementation plan targeting key areas required for success such as the offline infrastructure and the emphasis on providing effective training for all stakeholders involved in the daily operations.

Step 4

JVPS went live with CaDi. Continued technical support and monitoring is provided from the CaDi team.

Step 3

CaDi was implemented incrementally across the Ports of Papa New Guinea with live support.  Feedback was gathered and adjustments were made accordingly.
